The Assistant Manager of Member Engagement supports the planning and execution of programming for the Museum’s membership program. The Assistant Manager of Member Engagement works collaboratively within the Membership team to deliver high-quality experiences for members at all levels.

The Assistant Manager of Member Engagement supports the planning and execution of programming for the Museum’s membership program. The Assistant Manager of Member Engagement works collaboratively within the Membership team to deliver high-quality experiences for members at all levels.
Specifically, you will:
- Support all aspects of programming and engagement for membership, including, but not limited to:
- New Member events
- Members-only programs, tours, talks, and previews
- Special programs such as exhibition previews
- Support the logistics and programming for the Member's Lounge.
- In partnership with the Manager of Member Experience, assist in executing a comprehensive member engagement program, including:
- Exclusive membership programming and perks
- Member programs that focus on acquisition, upgrade, and retention
- Other programs as determined by the Advancement team
- In partnership with the Leadership Annual Giving teams, assist in supporting a comprehensive upgrade strategy and member stewardship program, including:
- Reviewing and identifying appropriate opportunities for upgrades
- Creating collateral
- Supporting clear and efficient processes for project management and reporting
- Ensuring that all content is in line with priority messaging in Advancement
- Maintain a comprehensive calendar reflecting all programming and activities across member constituencies within the Advancement division
- Support the management of the database and assist in developing processes for reporting
Your background and experience include:
- Progressive experience in engagement events and programs, preferably in an arts, cultural, or educational setting
- Member engagement experience strongly preferred
- Previous experience managing a robust, year-round schedule of events and programs preferred
- Exceptional communication skills with proven track record as necessary for the range of events with which this position works
- Confidence and experience in direct communication with donors/constituents
- A driven, results-oriented approach to ensure that events align with the overall institutional goals
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, writing, and time management skills; attention to detail; and the ability to respect and maintain confidentiality
- Knowledge of the arts and culture philanthropy landscape is a plus
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs required.
- Familiarity with CRM, Email Management, and Event Managements Systems (such as Raiser’s Edge, Campaign Monitor, and Zkipster)
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience
Position and Compensation Details
- The salary for this position is $45,500.
- This position is Full-Time, Exempt, and 35 hours per week.
- This position reports to Manager of Member Experience
- This position supervises the Member Engagement Assistant
- This position will require evenings, weekends, and occasional holidays
- Physical requirements:
- Able to remain stationary for extended periods of time, to utilize computers and other office equipment required of this job, to perform physically administrative duties in a typical interior office environment, gallery, or exhibit space, and to access most public and staff areas of the museum campus
