How You Will Contribute
The Philadelphia Museum of Art is seeking professional and articulate Membership Representatives to retain and provide customer service to members on-site from the Perelman Building’s Membership Call Center.


Specifically, you will:
  • Conduct outbound phone calls to lapsed or current museum members.
  • Utilize various campaign strategies for membership renewal,  acquisition and stewardship.
  • Speak with members of all levels, presenting the benefits of membership, Museum exhibitions, programming, and our historic general collection.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Your background and experience include:
  • Previous telemarketing and/or fundraising experience for non-profits is preferred.
  • A desire to make consultative outbound phone calls over the course of 3-6 hour shifts in a busy, but friendly, call center environment.
  • Basic computer proficiency, including experience with Microsoft Outlook, Teams and Raiser’s Edge is preferred, but not essential.
Position and Compensation Details
  • The hourly rate for this position is $16.75
  • This position is part-time, non-exempt working up to 20 hours per week.
  • The position requires the ability to work a flexible part-time schedule currently between the hours of 10:00am to 5:00pm, Monday through Friday
  • This position is part of the AFSCME Local 397 bargaining unit.
  • This position reports to the Assistant Manager of Membership Sales
  • Physical requirements:
    • Able to remain stationary for extended periods of time, to utilize computers and other office equipment required of this job, to perform physically administrative duties in a typical interior office environment, gallery, or exhibit space, and to access most public and staff areas of the museum campus
    • Able to move items up to 10 pounds
  • Background check required after a conditional job offer is made. Consideration of the background check will be tailored to the requirements of the job.
