Manager of Reporting and Analysis

The Manager of Reporting and Analysis is responsible for the management of systems and reporting informing the strategic planning and decision-making and the financial management of the Membership Department. The Manager of reporting and Analysis is the direct supervisor of the Member Record Services team.

Specifically, you will:

  • Collaborate on, and make recommendations based on analysis, in short- and long-term strategic planning for the department
  • Develop the department’s annual earned revenue budget and key resources for expense budgeting
  • Prepare and develop department’s key indicator, performance tracking, ad-hoc, custom and self-service reports designed to inform strategic decisions
  • Contribute to multichannel direct marketing strategies including list selection and segmentation
  • Research, identify and coordinate opportunities to increase the efficiency and integration of current technology and platforms, working with IIT, other Museum departments and external vendors as needed
  • Ensure data integrity and compliance with business rules, Museum policies, IRS, PCI and GDPR guidelines are maintained at the highest level including serving on the cross-institutional Data Security and Privacy group. 
  • Extract data and determine selections, segmentation for direct response campaigns
  • Create solutions for the Member Record Services department to ensure daily gift entry and record maintenance meets standards for reporting and analysis
  • Lead interdepartmental Raiser’s Edge Users Group meetings to ensure consistency of use across database and identify opportunities for increased collaboration
  • Oversee the activities and deliverables of the Member Record Services team, which includes a Member Record Services Coordinator and two Member Record Specialists
  • Oversee development of technical training and documentation for systems supporting the department
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Your diverse background includes:

  • 3-5 years of experience in the field of membership, marketing or development reporting and analytics 
  • Demonstrated experience developing accurate earned revenue budget projections and processes for on-going forecast management
  • Proficiency or familiarity with The Raiser’s Edge, Excel, Word, Access, SQL/Transact-SQL, and Tableau
  • 3 years’ experience as a direct supervisor
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Museum or Business related field preferred
  • Focused experience in a museum environment or similar preferred
